Around the yards!
It's been an exciting week. I forgot to mention last week, last Saturday I took my wife and young daughter to Huntingdon Races. Their Easter raceday is always a really enjoyable day out for the family, especially kids. There is so much on offer there to keep them entertained, including a petting area, which was a particular favorite of my daughter's, lawn games, tractors, inflatables, and live music after the racing. While we didn't stay for the music, we had a very enjoyable

Education and worms
Another interesting week! Bryan Mayoh & J'Vole It started with another conversation with Bryan Mayoh of Eskdale Thoroughbreds, who owns J'Y Vole and co-owns Logician, the dam and sire of "Paul," our yearling colt. J'Y Vole now has a foal at foot and is doing very well. I will be visiting sometime in the next few weeks, which I'm really looking forward to. " Paul " himself is filling out nicely and has bedded in well with the other colts in the field. He is a really athletic c

A Grand National Winner and a Trainer!
This week started much the same as last with sales prep, this week it was the GoffsGo online sale which had quite a few nice looking Point to Pointers and stores. The stores season is just getting underway and getting in early was the plan, so Jerry and I had a good chat and prepared our list ready for Thursday when the sale closed. It was a very busy start to the week for Carla and Graham down at Charlock Stud with minimal sleep for both as they welcomed 3 foals in 3 days. I

A disaster! A sisters hope! and Updates.
This week kicked off with planning and prep. The Tattersalls Online March Sale was just around the corner, and it included a PTP sale, so we were busy prepping, making long lists, and chatting about possible options. We were eyeing a few of the Point-to-pointers in the sale, but figured they'd go for way more than we could spend—and we were right. Next week, we've got the GoffsGo Late March Online Sale and the ThoroughBid March Online Sale to check out, but the one we're real

Returns, Visits and Vets!
The week started off excellently with Carla and Graham's return! They successfully caught their flight out of Dubai on Sunday and immediately resumed work upon their arrival. They were greatly missed, and having them back is a huge relief! Last week marked the launch of our YouTube videos featuring introductions to Emris Racing and " Emma " & " Pam ". Paul's introduction is scheduled for release at the beginning of the week. Be sure to check it out on our YouTube channel an

Deliveries and Delays
A busy week but also a worrying week, thankfully no worries about the horses who are all thriving. The week started with the final organisation of the photographer who was due to come over yesterday... more on that later. The start of the week also saw our beanie hats being finished and collected. Grab yourself one for £14.99 (Inc P&P) and a thank you to my wife for modelling one for me! We had an update from Carla who alongside Graham and both of their parents have been stuc

Beanie Hats, Birthdays and Visits!
The week started reasonably quietly! Monday was always penciled in as admin day this week, We also has some hats delivered that turned out to not be of the desired quality (lesson learned) they came unembroidered so they will get donated to a local charity. More are ordered that have been seen and are of a very good quality so we will have stock of embroidered Beanie hats soon. If you would like one get in touch they will be £10 + P&P (Photos coming soon). We are still waitin

Freedom, Conversations and Opportunities!
I did say last week that I was expecting this week to be a quieter week! How wrong was I! It started with an email, I reached out to the breeder of our newest yearling "Paul", Bryan Mayoh. More just to let him know that he was back living in England and to invite him to see him if he would like to. That email turned into a phone call and a very good conversation culminating in an invitation. "Paul" was bred at Shade Oak Stud in Shropshire where his Dam (Multiple Graded race w

Escape attempts, Sales, Visits and a New launch!
The week started with a visit to Charlock Stud to see how our 2 yearling fillies were settling in, My wife and 4-year-old daughter joined me to meet them too which was lovely! What a difference a few days has made. I was at the Stud on Thursday to welcome the girls off the lorry and I can say that they have settled in beautifully and are the best of friends! " Emma " , our Tirwanako yearling filly is an utter sweetheart who is a big fan of head scratches. Tiranako got another

Tattersalls Diary
It's been a busy couple of weeks, prep for the sales, plumbers in and 2 new arrivals! Preparation for the sales began a couple of weeks ago with the creation of a longlist, following the release of the Tattersalls Winter Flat & National Hunt sale catalogue ! A long list that consisted of no less than 34 horses! We then checked in with the bloodstock agent and then a day or 2 prior to the sales had whittled that down to around 15 after taking out the ones we thought would go f

Emris Racing: Opportunities in Bloodstock
When I first dipped my toes into the world of horse racing, I was captivated by the thrill of the race itself. But soon, I discovered that the real magic often begins long before the horses thunder down the track. It starts in the bloodstock - the breeding, buying, and selling of racehorses. This is where opportunities abound for those who want to be part of the sport in a deeper, more meaningful way. Today, I want to share with you how Emris Racing is opening doors to exciti
