Gorgeous bay filly - Impeccably bred, Incredible presence!

Meet Maisie a stunning 3-year-old bay filly by the outstanding sire Blue Bresil, out of Magic Maze — an unraced mare who has produced 5 winners from 6 runners, including Grade 2 star Magic Daze.

Purchased at the Tattersalls August Sale, she was one of the standout fillies of the entire catalogue. Her walk, her movement, her balance — everything about her screamed class. In the parade ring she owned the space, catching the eye of countless onlookers. We were very fortunate to secure her.

Her siblings likewise have been highly sought after with Magic Daze being sold for €92,000 as a 4-year-old and later €80,000 as a broodmare and Magic Dawn fetching £185,000 from Gordon Elliott as a 6-year-old! Its a sought after family with Cheltenham Gold Cup and Dual King George winner Kicking King and Manifesto & Betfair Hurdle winner Kalashnikov both close relations. She also has exceptional residual value as a broodmare after her racing career.

Jerry McGrath: "The Blue Bresil filly we purchased at the August sale in Ireland. She is out of Magic Maze, who is an incredible broodmare really. She has five winners from six runners from nine foals altogether.

So, she is just a winning machine. One of them being a very good horse in Magic Daze and it was a filly as well, so that was important. But she's produced winners over hurdles and fences as well as bumper winners. Very, very exciting broodmare. And this filly out of her is, she's very exciting too. She was a bit of a no brainer really.

Chris was very keen on her pedigree. We had a bit of a short list of Chris's pedigree choices and there was a few that we just discounted straight away. Whereas the minute I saw this filly, I said to Chris, she's a star! So, we were very keen to get her. We had to push hard to get her. There was plenty of interest in her.

Obviously being by Blue Bresil out of a mare that's producing winners every day of the week, year in, year out. We were very keen to get our hands on her and plenty of other people were as well. The family stems back to Kicking King and Kalashnikov. So, you've a great mix of stamina and speed there, which is very exciting. She's a filly that's not going to take forever. She'll come to hand very easily.

She'll be broken in, ridden away, have a little break. And I'd imagine then she'll start in a trainer's yard at some stage, but she's an exciting filly. One we were very keen to get our hands on.

We had to push hard to get her, but I think she was worth it.  And definitely one that we'll be looking forward to in the future."
