A remarkable 61.79% which is a staggering statistic for a smaller yard. Pedigree Highlights

This is a pedigree that consistently produces winners — especially over 2m–2m5f, with stamina to progress further with age.

🐴 Background & Race Insight

Purchased as a store by the renowned Monbeg Stables for €20,000, Freya has always been highly regarded.

She has run twice in 3 mile point‑to‑points in Ireland:

  • Pulled up on debut (typical for a filly not staying the trip & learning her job)

  • Finished 5th on her second start, travelling strongly and looking the likely winner before fading late.

That final‑furlong fade mirrors her siblings — horses who excelled when dropped back in trip. One sibling did win over 3 miles, but not until age eight. This filly is bred for speed, class, and progression, not early staying tests.

She will have a summer holiday before coming back into work at D&K Racing in Lambourn and spend some time with the world renowned Marcus Foley to do some jumping work before heading into full training.

Our bloodstock agent Jerry McGrath really loved her deep french pedigree read his comments below.

Jerry McGrath - "Silverhill Freya, she is a four-year-old daughter of Beaumac De Houelle, out of a Saint Des Saints mare. Obviously, Saint Des Saints is an incredibly good broodmare sire, which would include the likes of Jonbon and plenty of other good horses.

She's a likable filly and who doesn't like a grey? She's a good-sized filly, only four-year-old. She's had two educational runs in point-to-points in Ireland for Cormac Doyle, part of the Monbeg family. She showed plenty of ability. She's probably a filly that won’t be staying three miles, hence why she didn't probably stay in a point-to-point.

There's plenty of speed in the pedigree and she's a sister to a black type horse as well as three other winners. So yeah, she's an exciting recruit to have. Beaumec De Houelle is a sire I like myself, I’ve bought a few horses buy him and he's a horse that I think is going to keep doing better and better, especially when his stock come to the UK or Ireland because I do think as a son of Martaline, he appreciates a bit of nicer ground. Maybe while he hasn't had a blockbuster season in France on that softer ground, I do think coming to a bit nicer ground in the UK and Ireland will suit him much better. I think he's a sire that's going to go from strength to strength.

But yeah, she's a very likable filly, plenty of winners in the pedigree, plenty to run for her as well which is important from a broodmare point of view down the line but yeah the pedigree is jam-packed with black type French horses and like I said who doesn't love a grey".
