It's been a bit of a whirlwind week!
I alluded to it last week, but I can confirm a new horse has joined the team, and what a beauty she is!
This stunning 4-year-old grey filly is a half-sister to Grade 3 runner-up Kamyador and 8-time winner Peejaybee. Her siblings boast impressive RPRs of 108, 130, and 132.

She is sired by Beaumec De Houelle, who has made an outstanding start in his stud career. During the 2025/26 season, he ranked 5th among the top NH sires in France (by winners) and 4th among NH young sires in Europe (by winners), already producing multiple black-type performers such as Mamisuz De Houelle, Mellise Du Mathan, Letos, and Lovely Guy.
Her dam is a placed half-sister to no fewer than four black-type horses, including Grade 2 winner Pablo Du Charmil.
As if her pedigree couldn't be more impressive, her damsire is Saint Des Saints, one of the most influential jumping stallions of the modern era, and the damsire of El Fabiolo, Douvan, Jonbon, Envoi Allen, and many others.
She will now take a summer break in Lambourn, where she has joined "Ellie," before resuming work in July. A trainer announcement will be made soon, with shares being released at the same time!

Speaking of "Ellie," she is doing really well and flourishing for her break. We are looking forward to next season with her at Fergal O'Brien's yard. She has shown some really good work in Lambourn before her break, and even though she is bred for a slightly longer trip than 2m, she doesn't lack speed, and we think there is no reason she can't be competitive in a bumper. We are still reserving the option of the junior hurdle route and will liaise very closely with Fergal on her options moving forward. She will head to Marcus Foley later in the summer for some jumping work prior to joining up with Ravenswell Farm.
The yearlings are doing fabulously. "Emma" is still growing and looks like she could end up pretty tall. "Pam" is an absolute specimen of a horse, and "Paul" is just wow! They had a little pedicure this week. When the ground is harder, the farrier keeps a closer eye on them for chips, etc. I'm pleased to report that the worm counts from a couple of weeks ago were all clear too!
Then towards the end of the week, my wife decided that our life wasn't exciting enough, so she thought it would be a good idea to require a trip to the hospital and an emergency operation! Just to keep me on my toes, I'm sure. The operation went well, and all being well, she will be on the road to recovery very soon.
Next week I am visiting Charlock Stud and at least 1 trainer's yard (I hope this will be 2, but the above will have a bearing on it as it's quite a drive). I'm also hoping to arrange a visit to Shade Oak to meet 2 wonderful racehorses (I may have mentioned it a few times).
Until next time!
