For some time, I've downplayed my photography abilities. I hope you'll notice a significant improvement in this blog. Some time ago, I purchased a new camera, but two different ankle injuries prevented me from using it. However, this past week, I've been able to explore the yards and capture new photos with it! Feedback is always appreciated ;)
It has been a very positive week. We began with some behind-the-scenes tasks and administrative work, which might not be the most exciting to hear about, but it involved ordering flyers and other marketing materials for the Syndicate race day at Huntingdon on May 19th. We will be there with a trade stand, so be sure to visit us if you're attending!
On Tuesday, I managed to get around the yards, and seeing the progress after a few weeks away was great!
"Ellie" is now cantering away and is due for a rest before doing some work ahead of heading to Fergal O'Brien's. It seems increasingly likely that we will pursue the bumper route this coming season, though we are keeping the option open for junior hurdles.

David and Katie's report was very encouraging: "She is not a slow horse," "She has a great attitude," and "there is no reason she cannot be competitive in bumpers" were among the highlights! We welcomed Chris to her syndicate this week and are awaiting confirmation from another potential member. So don't hesitate. Lease shares are available, with 2.5% priced at £85 per month and 5% at £165 per month. Both options offer a pay-in-advance discount.

"Emma" continues to defy my expectations and is a dream. She is still growing on really well and really enjoys life with her friends.

Her very best friend is "Pam," which, given they are our two in the herd of many, is really nice for us.

"Pam" herself looks great and is a really sweet horse. She is, in my opinion, the biggest in her field and is coming along very nicely.

"Paul" appears to have experienced a significant improvement in his condition and looks amazing. Being a large individual, he has occasionally appeared slimmer than ideal, but he is now filling out beautifully. The updates on his page have been remarkably impressive. He has a promising future, and I'm genuinely excited about what's ahead for him!
I finally got some dates over to Bryan Mayoh to go and visit J'Y Vole and Logician. It has been very frustrating having the ankle issues of late, but hopefully the worst is behind me, and I hope we can arrange the visit soon, as it is something I am very excited to do.
The rest of the week has been spent going through sales catalogues with the Doncaster store, PTP & HIT sale just a week and a half away, and the Derby sales catalogues being released. It has seen me go through over 800 horses and their pages! In truth, I am very content with the team we have, but if an exceptional opportunity comes up, we would not be against it! There have been several horses that caught my eye in both sales, and I do plan to be in Doncaster for the sales on the 18th. If anyone would like to join me, please do get in touch. It would be a pleasure to meet up.
Until next time.
